Distribution

Hybrid Distribution

Definition

A release strategy that combines multiple distribution models simultaneously or in sequence. A film might launch on TVOD first to capture early revenue, then move to SVOD, and finally land on AVOD for long-tail ad revenue. This approach maximizes revenue across different audience segments.

Example

A film might launch on Apple TV and Amazon for rental at $5.99, then after 90 days move to a Netflix licensing deal, and after 12 months become available free on Tubi.
