Definition
The descriptive information attached to your film that helps platforms categorize and display it. Metadata includes title, synopsis, cast and crew list, genre, runtime, language, release date, and content rating. Good metadata improves discoverability on streaming platforms and is required by every distributor.
Example
A film with strong metadata on Tubi includes an accurate genre tag (Horror), a compelling 200-character synopsis, and relevant cast names that viewers might search for.
