Marketing
Impressions
Definition
The number of times your ad or content is displayed to users, regardless of whether they click on it. Impressions are the top of the marketing funnel and are used to calculate CPM. More impressions mean more potential viewers seeing your poster or trailer, but impressions alone do not guarantee clicks or conversions.
Example
If your Facebook ad appears on 50,000 user feeds, that counts as 50,000 impressions, even if only 750 people click through.
