Territory
Definition
The geographic region where a distributor or platform has the right to make your film available. Territory rights can be global, regional (Europe, Asia), or country-specific (US only, UK only). Selling territory rights separately allows filmmakers to maximize revenue by working with different distributors in different regions.
Example
You might grant a US distributor rights to North America while separately licensing your film to a European distributor for EU territories.
