Trailer

Definition

A short promotional video that previews your film to audiences. Trailers are the most important marketing asset for a film release. A typical trailer runs 90 seconds to 2.5 minutes and is cut from finished footage. Most campaigns include a teaser trailer (60 to 90 seconds) and a full trailer (2 to 3 minutes), plus short social media cuts (15 to 30 seconds).

Example

You might cut a 60-second teaser for TikTok and Instagram, a 2-minute full trailer for YouTube, and five 15-second clips for ad creative.
